Welcome!

We are so grateful for your visit! It is our hope to enjoy a visit in person from you for Bible Class and to participate with us as we glorify God in worship and service in beautiful Sun City West, Arizona (Isaiah 43:7Psalm 50:231 Corinthians 6:20Matt. 4:10).

We are simply Christians…not Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Baptist, or any of the various denominations you may already be familiar with. We endeavor to please God the Father by following the New Testament pattern taught by the original first century church of Christ (Established in 33AD) and the Lord’s apostles as we worship Him on Sunday, the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1Acts 20:7Revelation 1:10). Our acts of worship are as follows:

Prayers will be offered to our Father in heaven, through the resurrected Jesus Christ. Jesus now reigns over His kingdom, the church, from heaven (Matthew 6:91 Timothy 2:5Romans 8:34John 18:36Colossians 1:13,14Revelation 1:63:21).

The singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs from the heart to praise God and edify one another will occur throughout the worship period. Man-made musical instruments will not be used. It is the way the first century church worshipped God. Each participant in the worship is encouraged to praise God in this way (Ephesians 5:19Colossians 3:16,17Hebrews 13:15).

The Lord’s Supper will be served. It will consist of unleavened bread (a cracker-like composition) and the fruit of the vine (unfermented grape juice). Every Christian is encouraged to participate as we give thanks and remember our Lord as He instructed (Matthew 26:26-281 Corinthians 11:23-2425-2627-29Acts 20:7).

An opportunity to contribute monetarily is provided for the members of the congregation. Visitors or non-members are not asked to contribute to the local work of the church. If you choose to contribute it will be entirely your choice (1 Corinthians 16:1-2Acts 20:352 Corinthians 8:122 Corinthians 9:7). Please feel free to merely pass the plate if it is handed to you.

Listening to the Word of God being preached offers opportunity for encouragement, hope, faith building, exhortation, instruction in righteousness and rebuke. “Amens!” are welcome and encouraged. Christianity results from teaching publically and privately. You may also request a free personal Bible study. (Acts 20:20Romans 1:15-162 Timothy 4:2Psalm 106:48Rev. 22:21).

A the end of many services contrite believers are encouraged to obey the gospel just like they did in response to the faith, and the truth, during the first century when Christianity first started from Jerusalem (Acts 1:8Acts 2:38Acts 22:16Acts 6:7Matthew 28:18-20Mark 16:15-16Luke 24:46-47Romans 1:162 Thessalonians 1:81 Peter 4:17). We hope you will come to hear God’s message.

God's Plan of Salvation:

You must hear the gospel and then understand and recognize that you are lost without Jesus Christ no matter who you are and no matter what your background is. The Bible tells us that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Before you can be saved, you must understand that you are lost and that the only way to be saved is by obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:8) Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

You must believe and have faith in God because “without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6) But neither belief alone nor faith alone is sufficient to save. (James 2:19James 2:24Matthew 7:21)

You must repent of your sins. (Acts 3:19) But repentance alone is not enough. The so-called “Sinner’s Prayer” that you hear so much about today from denominational preachers does not appear anywhere in the Bible. Indeed, nowhere in the Bible was anyone ever told to pray the “Sinner’s Prayer” to be saved. By contrast, there are numerous examples showing that prayer alone does not save. Saul, for example, prayed following his meeting with Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:11), but Saul was still in his sins when Ananias met him three days later (Acts 22:16). Cornelius prayed to God always, and yet there was something else he needed to do to be saved (Acts 10:263348). If prayer alone did not save Saul or Cornelius, it will not save you either. You must obey the gospel. (2 Thess. 1:8)

You must, with sincere heart-belief, confess that Jesus is Lord. He is Lord whether you confess it or not, but it is unto your salvation that you must acknowledge His deity and His ownership (Romans 10:9-10). This confession is the external expression of an internal spirit of complete submission to every aspect of His word and will. As with faith and repentance, confession alone does not save (Matthew 7:21).

Having believed, repented, and confessed that Jesus is the Son of God, you must be baptized for the remission of your sins. (Acts 2:38) It is at this point (and not before) that your sins are forgiven. (Acts 22:16) It is impossible to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ without teaching the absolute necessity of baptism for salvation. (Acts 8:35-36Romans 6:3-41 Peter 3:21) Anyone who responds to the question in Acts 2:37 with an answer that contradicts Acts 2:38 is NOT proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Once you are saved, God adds you to his church and writes your name in the Book of Life. (Acts 2:47Philippians 4:3) To continue in God’s grace, you must continue to serve God faithfully until death. Unless they remain faithful, those who are in God’s grace will fall from grace, and those whose names are in the Book of Life will have their names blotted out of that book. (Revelation 2:10Revelation 3:5Galatians 5:4)
